Pink and Ricky Gervais Team Up for Provocative PSA Against Exotic Skins and Fur

Pink and Ricky Gervais have teamed up in an edgy ad campaign for PETA. The top pop icon and the popular comedian provide the voices for computer-generated animals who make the case that exotic skins and fur belong on their original owners.

In the 30-second public service announcement (PSA), the Grammy-winning singer and top funnyman voice the roles of a skinned alligator and a rabbit who has had his coat stolen. The animals demand their skins back from a couple retrieving a bag and a jacket from a coat check. As the alligator (Pink) says, no matter what someone pays for clothing and accessories made from animals, it's the animals who have "paid a lot more!"

Alligators killed for their skins are commonly beaten to death with hammers and axes, sometimes remaining conscious for up to two hours after they're skinned. Undercover investigations of fur farms in China—now the world's largest exporter of fur—revealed that animals, including rabbits, cats, and dogs, are often skinned alive.

This winter, help spread the word about how animals are robbed of their skins for the fashion industry, and order this PSA today.
